October 31st had rolled around once more, and I was not happy one bit. Why? Because I hated kids! Every Halloween, kids were ringing my doorbell every three minutes and demanding candy! But not this year, because I had turned the lights off and was hiding in the basement with Mountain Dew and Doritos. No one can find me when I'm hiding in my secret lair! Just then, I heard knocking on my door. That’s strange; I was sure my guard-walrus would've scared the kids off. "Sirge, it's Phil, I know you're in there! Also, your pet walrus won't stop slapping my shins with his flippers."  Dang it, it was Phil!

I slowly walked up to the foot of the stairs, making sure not to make any sound in the process. I was going to stand there, out of sight, hoping Phil would give up, but he kept banging his fist on the door. "Open up, or I'm turning into an eagle and building a nest in your chimney again!" Darn it, the last time he did that it took me a month to clean it out! I ran over to the door and quickly opened it up. Phil was standing there in what appeared to be a Headless Horseman costume. He had a pumpkin-shaped mask over his head, and wore a Victorian cape and black clothing. He removed his pumpkin helmet and showed his face to me.

He looked at me in a disapproving manner. "Sirge, why aren't you in your monkey-man form?!" I sighed. "Because, if I was in monkey form, then kids would harass me more! I dislike Halloween, so I stay human for the day!" Phil walked around me and threw his arm over my shoulder. "Come on, you should get in the spirit! Come to this costume party with me, it's not for another hour, so it'll give you time to get changed!" I shook my head and crossed my arms. "Sorry, Phil! I'm staying right here, out of costume and in my human form!" Phil wagged his finger at me disapprovingly. "I wasn't giving you a choice, Sirge!" Phil pointed at my shoulder, at which point I noticed something lying on it.

It appeared to be strands of mangy horse hair adorning the shoulder of my shirt - he must have put it on there when he had his arm around me. I grabbed the horse hair, but was met with a rather bizarre predicament. It appeared as though the horse hair was moving in my hands! The horse hair started clinging to my skin! Suddenly, matching black horse hairs started erupting from my skin in tandem. My fingers twitched as they drew together, clumping against one another in the process. "Oh, I'm just completing my costume, Sirge. What's a Headless Horseman without a horse?" I glared at Phil. "How hard is it to rent a horse?!" My fingers coalesced into large fleshy lumps that quickly hardened into hooves. "It's really hard to rent a horse, requires a lot of paperwork too! Besides, I hate paperwork! I'd ask you to fill out the paperwork for me, but you don't exactly have hands right now!"

I angrily shook my hooves at Phil as I glared at him. "Darn it, Phil! I told you I didn't want to go to a Halloween party! Besides, if you turn me into a horse, how am I even supposed to attend? I doubt they let horses in the building." Suddenly, the fur started growing even more. Tiny rips formed in my shirt and pants. Phil chuckled to himself as he watched my transformation continue. "It's an outdoor party, Sirge. It doesn't matter if you're a horse or not. Besides, I could just tell people you're a really convincing animatronic." The fur continued to grow, but I ignored it and crossed my arms. "Dang it, Phil! I already sa---" Suddenly, my words got caught in my throat. It was as if I had just swallowed a frog. I sputtered and coughed, desperately trying to sputter out words in the process.

I tried to collect myself and attempted to speak English once more. I cleared my throat and attempted to speak, but all that came out was whinnies and neighs. "Having trouble speaking there, buddy? Don't worry; you'll thank me later for getting you out of the house. Trust me; this is one party you cannot miss!" I ignored Phil's words and took notice of the fur ripping through my jeans. As the fur ripped its way through them, I found the muscle underneath my shirt start to increase and bulge out. My body gained a large amount of muscle I never had before, as I soon found my mass increasing. My nostrils flared and slowly grew larger as I felt my face start to push out.

My face pushed out in front of me, relocating my eyes to the sides of my head in the process.  My face morphed into a large equine muzzle as my nose slowly melted away, leaving two nostrils in its place. My ears twitched as they started to grow much larger. They curved as they increased in length, giving me a pair of perky horse ears in the process. Phil chuckled to himself, prompting me to snort angrily. The last thing I wanted to be for the night was an accessory to complete Phil's costume!

Just then, an odd pulling sensation took hold of my spine. It was the unmistakable feeling of growing a tail! My spine felt like it was growing. My tailbone was expanding, and I soon felt a bushy horse-tail starting to form from my backside. The tail got caught in my trousers and I soon found it thrashing about from within my ripped-up pants. My butt grew larger and more muscular as well; my underwear was barely in one piece once it stopped growing! The muscles in my legs started to bulge even more as black fur pushed its way through the fabric. Tears and rips became more prevalent, as my pants were ripped to shreds by the transformation.

Just then, I felt my spine start to ache again. I felt the bones inside the column start to shift and crack, then I found myself being lowered onto my hands and feet against my will. Bones locked into place as my newly transformed spine left me as a quadruped. My feet soon changed as well; I soon found my toes sticking to each other like glue. My toes merged into a second pair of black hooves, matching the pair that had taken the place of my hands. My hooves ripped through the fabric of my socks as they formed, leaving nothing but several shreds of white fabric in their wake.

My body grew taller as the transformation continued, my neck growing longer in the process. The room shrank somewhat as my body enlarged. I was now a fully-grown black stallion! I thought the transformation was done, but I soon found more changes starting to take place. The ripped up fabric adorning my body started to move on its own, forming into news objects entirely. My ripped-up shirt morphed into a leather-like material. It coalesced around my back and sides and formed into a set of saddle and spurs. The material morphed into a leather harness that attached itself to my face.

The leather shifted into a bridle and fastened itself around my face; two bits were placed in mouth, leaving a sour taste in the process. The bits were clamped firmly around the inside of my mouth, and I soon found two harness straps dangling down from the bridle as well. I was now a black stallion fitted with a bridle and tack! Phil smiled, grabbed a nearby stool and brought it over to me. "Alright, now stand still! If you buck me off, I won't change you back for a whole week!"

I snorted angrily as I stamped my hoof. Phil hopped onto my back and sat on my leather saddle. He placed his feet in the spurs of my saddle and dug them into my sides. "Get going, horsey!" I snorted and refused to move. I waved my furry tail around and tilted my head upwards in a snobbish manner. "Get going or you won't get a sugar cube!" The mentioning of the words, "sugar cube" reverberated through my being. I whinnied as I found myself trotting forward based purely on instinct. I exited through the doorway and trotted out onto the grass.

Phil whipped my harness straps. "Come on, let's get going! We have 30 minutes to get there, now start galloping!" I took off into a sprint, my hooves clacking against the sidewalk in the process. I galloped as fast as I could, picking up speed with each trot. It didn't matter how fast or how far I ran, my body never seemed to run out of energy! I galloped in the direction that Phil led me. I was apprehensive to this at first, but I soon found myself strangely enjoying this!

Phil continued to pull on my reins as he brought me to a rather large outside party area. A few people had already arrived, but it seemed like we still had time before the rest of the party-goers arrived. Once we arrived, Phil dismounted me and hopped off. He grabbed my harness and led me to a nearby group of people. One of those people was a face I easily recognized: Raven! "Woah, nice specimen of a horse! Black too, and the mane is perfect!" The mad scientist looked me over and petted my mane. "Geez, he's amazing!" I whinnied happily as I smiled. It was nice to have praise heaped on top of the transformation.

Another person walked in and started petting my back gently. "Wow, and he's well-tempered too! Not to mention, well-trained." Phil smiled and brushed back his hair. "Yep, I trained this stallion back when he was a little foal. He wouldn't be half the horse he is now if it wasn't for me!" Dang it, Phil was stealing my thunder! But it's not like I could tell them the truth, I couldn't exactly speak English at the moment. The night continued on as more people arrived, many more people.

The outdoor area was quickly filled with more than 250 people! Many of these people were those that I knew personally, including Desmond, Colton, Natsume, and Clancy, among various others. At the moment though, they didn't know it was me. Almost every familiar face I attempted to talk to, but couldn't due to my lacking vocabulary. Instead, every time I let out a whinny I'd get a firm pat on the snout. There were even a fair amount of people who thought I was wearing a costume, which struck me as odd. Had they ever seen a horse costume this realistic?

Then the time came for the costume contest! Various people were fully dressed in amazing and elaborate costumes. Raven was in her usual mad scientist attire, while Alex came in his usual Zorua form. Phil's costume, however, was winning people over left and right, mainly because I was part of his look! A Headless Horseman who was actually riding a horse was something the judges had never seen before!

I trotted onto the stage, carrying Phil atop my back as I did so. Flaring my large nostrils, I cantered into the center of the stage. Various people gathered about and started clapping, while Phil raised his arms in victory. The judges all nodded in agreement, and Phil was declared the winner! "Sir, I have never seen a Headless Horseman costume with such an amazing horse!" The main judge came up with a gold medal and placed it around Phil's neck. I snorted in a rather angry fashion - I was being treated like I was nothing!

Where was my gold medal? I was the one who did all the trotting and galloping to get here; I was the one who got transformed! Where's the horse's prize? After that disappointing revelation, the party started to wind down. After about thirty more minutes of conversing with the locals, the party officially ended. Phil mounted me once more and rode me out of the main area. He took me down a dirt path and towards a nearby farm. I was wondering why he was bringing me there; maybe that was the only place where he could transform me back.

We arrived outside the farmhouse as Phil hopped off. "Alright, close your eyes! I've got something to give you for doing such a good job as my mount tonight!" I snorted and closed my eyes. I was hoping the reward would be changing me back, but I doubted that was the case. Phil removed the bits from my mouth and removed part of the bridle. He fastened something else around the bridle, something that covered my mouth. I opened my eyes to find that he had just fastened a feedbag to my bridle!

"Some delicious and very healthy oats, a perfect reward for a horse such as yourself!" My whinnies came out all muffled as I angrily stomped my hooves in the dirt. "Don't worry; I'll change you back tomorrow! I'm beat after tonight, and I just want to sleep. The farmer here will provide you with everything you need! In the meantime, just munch on those nutritious oats and have a good night!" Phil waved as he walked off. I stamped my hoof and started to munch on the oats. They weren't that delicious, but it was better than nothing! Now I was regretting not wearing my monkey form on Halloween. If I had I wouldn't have been dragged into another bizarre circumstance! Oh well, at least I didn't have to deal with kids this Halloween!
Sirge decides to take Halloween off this year, but I have other plans for him!

Forgot to upload this one, but I really like how it came out. Who wouldn't want to help complete Halloween for me?

I would want to stay like that, because I like horses.
